Chess MirrorFix Your Games

Find the mistakes you keep making. Then fix them.

Chess Mirror reads your own games from chess.com, Lichess or any PGN file, finds the mistakes that cost you most, and turns them into puzzles to practise. It all runs on your own device, so your games stay yours.

No account needed. Works on phones and computers, and offline once installed.

A puzzle in the trainer: a chess board showing a position from one of your own games, labelled 'Missed pin'.

See where you really lose points

Not generic advice. What happens in your games, move by move.

Your blunders, named

Missed forks, pins and mates, pieces left hanging, back-rank trouble. See which kind of mistake costs you most, and how it changes over time.

Puzzles from your own games

Positions where you went wrong become puzzles. Miss one and it comes back later, so the lesson sticks.

Openings, time and trends

Which openings work for you, when you run low on time, and a weekly plan that tells you what to practise next.

In your language

English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Russian, including the emails and reminders you choose to get.

Gentle reminders

Optional. A short nudge by email or on your phone at the hour you pick, only on days you have not practised.

Prices shown before you pay

Free to start. Pro is $6 a month or $48 a year, with tax for your country shown at checkout.

How it works

Three steps, about ten minutes the first time.

  1. Load your games

Type your chess.com or Lichess username, or open a PGN file from any site.

  2. Let it analyse

The Stockfish engine checks every move on your own device. Choose fast or deep.

  3. Practise your mistakes

Work through the puzzles, follow your plan, and watch your accuracy and blunders improve.

Made for your phone too

Solve puzzles on the bus. Install it on your home screen like any app, and it keeps working with no connection.

The same puzzle on a phone screen.

Your games stay on your device

That is how it is built, not a promise on a page.

  • The analysis runs in your own browser. Your games are not sent to us.
  • No ads, no tracking, no cookies. The page you are reading loads nothing from anyone else.
  • Syncing between devices is optional and end-to-end encrypted: we store data we cannot read.
  • Anonymous usage numbers are off until you say yes.

Coaching? Teach with your students' own mistakes

A coach plan covers your students' Pro, so they pay nothing.

Invite by email

Your student sees exactly what they are agreeing to before they accept.

See progress, never games

You see a small summary the student chooses to share: counts and percentages, never their games or opponents. They can stop at any time.

Assign puzzles

Build a set from any position and its answer, give it to some or all students, and see who solved what.

Free, and Pro when you want more

Questions

Is Chess Mirror really free?

Yes. Loading your games, analysing them, seeing your mistakes and practising up to 5 puzzles a day are free. Pro adds unlimited puzzles, the deepest analysis, an automatic review queue, the full weekly plan, every trend, sync across your devices and the PDF report.

Do my games leave my device?

No. Your games are analysed on your own device. If you turn on cloud sync, your analysis results, puzzles and progress are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded, so we store data we cannot read. Your full games are not uploaded.

Which sites can I use?

chess.com and Lichess (your public games), or a PGN file from any other site.

How good is the analysis?

It uses Stockfish 19, a very strong open-source chess engine, running in your browser. You can trade speed for depth. Like any engine analysis it can occasionally be wrong, and it is a training aid, not a guarantee.

Does it work offline?

The installable web version works offline for everything that happens on your device: analysis, puzzles, plans and trends. Loading games, signing in, syncing and paying need a connection.

Do I need an account?

No. An account (an email address and a one-time code, no password) is only for Pro, syncing and coach features.

Can my coach see my games?

No. If you join a coach, they can see only a small summary that you choose to share: counts and percentages, and your first result on puzzles they assign. You can stop sharing at any time, which deletes it.

What happens if I stop paying?

You keep everything on your device. Pro features lock again, and cloud sync becomes read-only: you can still download or delete what is in the cloud.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of paying, no questions asked.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works on phones and tablets, and you can install it on your home screen.

Is it connected to chess.com or Lichess?

No. Chess Mirror is an independent app. It reads the public games you ask it to load.
